Madinah Visit
Madinah visit is not related to hajj or umrah, however every pilgrim want to visit Prophet’s grave, Prophet’s mosque and city. In this visits there is no need of Ihram, here a single prayer is valuable than thousands prayers in any other mosque except Masjid al-Haram in Makkah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) once said: “The person who performs Hajj and then visits my Tomb, will be regarded as though he had seen me in my worldly life.” (Baihaqi), when a pilgrim starts his journey toward Madinah he should make intention like ” O Allah! I start journey to visit the holy tomb of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). In this travels pilgrims should recite Darud Sharif. Similarly after reaching this city takes a bath, wear nice dress and use perfume then go Prophet’s Mosque and in the way recite Darud Sharif. Enter Prophet’s Mosque through Bab-e-Jibril or Bab-us-Salaam and if it is impossible, then enter from any other door. Recite mosque entrance pray and say “Allah humma aftah li abwabe rahamte ka” and then perform two Raka’t Nafl specially Riaz al-Jannah that is a place near Prophet’s grave, but it can be performed in any other place of mosque.
